The premiere episode of Behind The Glass: Philadelphia Flyers Training Camp, the groundbreaking all-access NHL® preseason docuseries, airs tonight at 8 p.m. ET on NHL Network™.
Produced by NHL Network in association with NHL Original Productions, the four-part series offers fans a glimpse into the fast-paced nature of an NHL training camp. Behind The Glass features Flyers® players reporting to camp, undergoing endurance and skill tests, playing in preseason and exhibition games in the U.S. and Europe, competing for roster spots, and ultimately preparing for the team’s season opener on Oct. 4.
In the premiere episode, Behind The Glass shadows Flyers president of hockey operations & general manager Chuck Fletcher and new head coach Alain Vigneault for one-on-one interviews and behind-the-scenes looks at their player evaluations. Viewers will also see off-ice interviews with Flyers captain Claude Giroux during a ride-along to practice; newly acquired forward Kevin Hayes as he prepares for his first season with the Flyers; and 21-year old goalie Carter Hart talk about his offseason training and nutrition regimen during a grocery shopping trip.
Exclusive bonus content and clips from each episode of Behind The Glass will be shared by the NHL, NHL Network and the Flyers across their digital and social media platforms using #BehindTheGlass. In addition to its schedule on NHL Network, each episode of Behind The Glass will also re-air on Sportsnet as well as the NHL’s platforms on YouTube, Facebook and IGTV.
