With the 2018 NFL season set to begin this week, NFL Network announces its weekend programming schedule, highlighted by a revamped NFL GameDay Prime and the expansion of Good Morning Football: Weekend to Saturday and Sunday.
Good Morning Football: Weekend returns this season and expands to two days: a three-hour edition Saturday at 9:00 AM ET and a two-hour edition Sunday at 7:00 AM ET. On Saturday’s edition, Colleen Wolfe hosts and is joined by analysts Michael Robinson and Reggie Bush, and reporter Mike Garafolo from NFL Films in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey. Building off the success of last year’s debut season, Good Morning Football: Weekend provides the latest news and analysis from around the NFL heading into Sunday’s slate of games. Additionally, NFL Network reporters stationed across the league will join with the latest from each game site.
On Sunday, Good Morning Football: Weekend airs at 7:00 AM ET in the timeslot occupied previously by NFL GameDay Morning and NFL GameDay First. On Sunday’s edition of Good Morning Football: Weekend, Steve Smith Sr. joins Wolfe, Robinson and Garafolo, offering the first preview and reports of the day’s games.
At 9:00 AM ET, the Emmy-nominated NFL GameDay Morning airs from Los Angeles with host Rich Eisen, Hall of Famers Kurt Warner and Michael Irvin, former head coach Steve Mariucci, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, analytics expert Cynthia Frelund and various NFL Network reporters. This season, NFL GameDay Morning celebrates its 10-year anniversary of being on-air. Additionally, in 2017 NFL GameDay Morning was the only NFL pregame show to outperform 2016 in overall P2+ viewership (+10 percent).
NFL Network’s Sunday GameDay programming continues with NFL GameDay Live at 1:00 PM ET, with hosts Rhett Lewis and Marc Istook, Hall of Famers Terrell Davis and Rod Woodson, and analyst James Jones providing in-progress highlights and analysis of the day’s games. At 7:30 PM ET, Cole Wright and Chris Rose host NFL GameDay Highlights, providing a recap of the day’s action thus far with highlights, postgame press conferences and commentary leading up to kickoff of the Sunday night matchup.
At 11:30 PM ET on NFL Network and 11:30 PM ET/PT and 10:30 PM CT/MT on FOX affiliates, a revamped NFL GameDay Prime airs with Hall of Famers Deion Sanders, LaDainian Tomlinson and Shannon Sharpe, and host Charissa Thompson recapping the weekend’s games.
