NBC Sports’ Football Week In America Begins Tonight At 7 P.m

NBC Sports’ Football Week in America kicks off tonight, reliving memorable NBC Sunday Night Football games and performances, with two primetime SNF games beginning at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

    • Tonight: Manning Bowl I & a Classic Brady-Manning Matchup

 

FWIA runs through Sunday, April 5, with NBCSN presenting two games per night in primetime. In addition, on the three following Sunday nights in April, NBCSN will air one SNF game at 8 p.m. ET.

Mike Tirico will introduce each night’s matchup on NBCSN, and game presentations will include a specialized ticker featuring live tweets. During the telecast, fans will be provided with on-screen information on how they can help with Coronavirus relief. Fans can tweet #FootballWeekNBCSN for the chance to see their tweets live on air.

With “Manning Bowl I” featured tonight in the first game of Football Week in America, Peyton and Eli Manning joined Tirico to look back on that matchup. INDIANAPOLIS COLTS-NEW YORK GIANTS (WEEK 1, 2006) AT 7 P.M. ET

Football Week in America kicks off with the first-ever NBC Sunday Night Football game as Peyton and Eli Manning faced off in the first ‘Manning Bowl’ on Kickoff Weekend in 2006.

The Colts, bolstered by Manning’s 276 passing yards and one touchdown, and kicker Adam Vinatieri’s four field goals, held on to top the Giants, 26-21. The game jumpstarted Indianapolis’ 2006 campaign, which ended with a victory in Super Bowl XLI.

Al Michaels and Hall of Fame coach John Madden called the game from Giants Stadium.

DENVER BRONCOS-NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (WEEK 12, 2013) AT 9:30 P.M. ET

In a classic battle between quarterbacking greats, Tom Brady and Peyton Manning, Brady’s Patriots overcame a 24-0 halftime deficit to defeat the Broncos, 34-31, in overtime in 2013.

Brady passed for 344 yards with three touchdowns and a 107.4 passer rating, while Denver running back Knowshon Moreno rushed for 224 yards (second-most in a single game in franchise history) and one touchdown. Following a fumbled punt late in overtime, Patriots kicker Stephen Gostkowski hit the game-winning, 31-yard field goal to seal New England’s comeback win.

Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth called the game from Gillette Stadium.
